Located in the serene surroundings of Zuid-Scharwoude and a 5-minute drive from shopping centre Broekerveiling, Bed&Breakfast; het Winterkoninkje offers spacious accommodation with free use of the canoeing facilities on site.
The accommodation features a bathroom with a shower and a toilet. There is a TV set with cable channels and a DVD player. Tea/coffee making facilities are included and free Wi-Fi is available throughout.
Breakfast is served daily with fresh home made products. Several restaurants and cafes can be found within a short walking distance from Bed&Breakfast; het Winterkoninkje.
Guests can go take a walk in the large private garden or go for a swim in the private swimming pool. Museum Broekerveiling is a 5-minute drive. Alkmaar is 9 km away. Train station Heerhugowaard is 5 km and offers a direct link to Schagen in 9 minutes and Amsterdam is only about 50 minutes away!
It is possible to ask your hostess to organize a boattrip through the pittoresk waters of The Area with the thousand Islands, in which the villa is located. Also a daytrip on a large boat can be arranged, with destinations as Alkmaar ( famous cheesemarket), Graft- de Rijp, Kolhorn etc. for a reasonable price. You can even take the canoe from the private jetty of the villa to explore the area, and that is free of charge!
